The final official day of the CSC assignment was on 11 April. On the last day, we presented our projects to all of the clients (see my previous blog post for some pictures), then went to lunched with each of our respective clients (i.e. IDT in my case). Finally, we went back to the office to bid farewell to the IDT team members.
Most of the team members were departing on Saturday 12 April, so we all went out for one final meal together along Avenida Beira Mar.
There, we all had time to reflect on the amazing experience. Fantastic to work on such great projects, to really get to know Brazil, and, of course, to get to know our fellow team members too. The next morning, everyone had flights to catch. Most people were spending some time in Rio, and some were even going to other areas of Brazil afterwards (Iguazu, Salvador, Manaus).
The next afternoon, I flew off to Rio to meet my family for a wonderful couple of weeks vacation in the beautiful town of Paraty and in Rio.

Postscript
After returning to our home countries, the CSC team members have kept in touch - with particularly lively Whatsapp chats during the world cup in Brazil. Several of the European team members met in Zurich in August, and there are plans for another meet in 2015.
